Home decorating does not only need to be about your own home. Then you should think which room may benefit the most from your gift.

For example, if you want to give the happy couple a rug for their bedroom, you could choose from a variety of beautiful thick area shag rugs. Shag rugs were very popular in the 1960s, and they have now made a comeback. Putting your toes onto a soft shag rug the moment you get out of bed in the morning is a romantic, satisfying experience.

These beautiful rugs come in a variety of colors. Depending on the style of the couple’s bedroom furniture, an elegant burgundy may be stunning, or a lighter, pale brown may do the job. On the other hand, if you are not privy to which bedroom furniture the couple wishes to use, you could play it safe and buy them a neutral color such as beige, gray, or cream. Either way, a lovely shag rug puts the finishing touches to any bedroom, adding to the romantic atmosphere.

The perfect bathroom is clean, with unstained tiles and color coordinating fittings, but once again the finishing touch has to be the rug that you step on as you get out of the shower or bath.

As most newlyweds don’t want to be burdened by heavy cleaning expenses and also need a rug that will stay looking good after many uses, acrylic area rugs are probably your best bet. Once again, you should try to match the color to the bathroom décor.
