With so much information it is hard to give an indication of each rooms contents but hover over a room and a list of the hints and tips that you may find will appear. Hello, thanks for popping in, whilst you are here why not take a look around as there is something for everyone whatever you age, gender and interests.

As you can see Hints and Things comprises 14 different 'rooms' as a means by which to sort the vast number of topics covered e.g. car and motoring related features can be found in the Garage, pets and animal topics are in the Kennel, jobs and interview material can be found in the Office etc.  Each 'room' has its own Index listing all the features contained within that are but there is a brief description of each room contents listed below.

There are nearly 1000 pages containing information, advice, hints, tips, interesting articles on a wide range of subjects including DIY, stain removal, car maintenance, beauty tips, finance, sports/games, hobbies/crafts, gardening tips and plant information,  pets, children/parenting, cleaning tips,  the name given to wedding anniversaries and what they represent.  In addition to all that there is a list of the collective nouns given to groups of animals and birds; all aspects of cookery including how to make ingredients go further,  oven temperature conversion (gas/electric etc.,), weights, measurements and explanations for terminology. 

There is also information on what to look out for when buying a used car, a fuel conversion chart, and fuel saving tips.  On the other hand, if you are trying to lose weight and need to know your weight in kilogrammes, pounds or even pounds and stones then check out our weight conversion chart.  Other interesting pages include explanation and instructions for knitting abbreviations, suggestions on using old and unwanted CDs/DVDs, musical terms, work related hints, tips and advice including job interviews, language differences, reference, homemaking, entertaining, weddings, travel, cocktails (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic recipes) and much, much more.

We all know that one of the cheapest and yet most effective ways to save money and energy and yet keep your home warm, is to buy insulation such as loft insulation and cavity wall insulation. There are, however, many other things we can do to save on heating costs.
